Fort Kearny protected thousand of pioneer wagon trains. An interpretive center, blacksmith/carpenter shop, powder magazine, and split log stockade tell the exciting story.

Open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day weekend 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The 152-acre recreation area features sand beaches, swimming, showers, and changing rooms, fishing, camping, picnicking and hiking along the Hike-Bild Trail. A Nebraska State Park Permit is required.
